China Glaze ~ Put a Bow on it

China Glaze ~ Put a Bow on it
Magenta Microglitter

This polish from China Glaze’s holiday collection 2013 “Happy Holi-Glaze” has been on many blogs during the season. I love microglitters like this one, so I bought it (and I also bought the indigo version of it: “All Wrapped Up”).

Application here is easy. It takes three coats to make it opaque, but it isn’t a big deal, since the polish dries really fast (and I like that!). The glitter seems to be sinking relatively fast, so you have to dip the brush deep into the bottle for each nail, otherwise you won’t get much glitter on the last of your nails.

I applied a layer of Poshé topcoat and then I took the following pictures:

This is a glitter that speaks directly to my heart.

I made some dots on it. I used two polishes from Maybelline: Colorama 171A, which is a light shimmery grey, and Color Show Denim Dash, which is shimmery denim blue. I made the dots in various sizes, and finished the whole thing off with another layer of Poshé topcoat, and here’s my final mani:

It’s funny how the light grey dots actually look light blue because they’re underneath blue dots! The blueness of the polish deceives the eye!

Here’s the three polishes, I used for my mani:

I’m not going to lie, I like this. I somehow wish I had used either silver or white for the lighter dots, but at the same time I think it works with the grey. What do you think, dear girls?

Number of coats: 3
Drying time: Fast
Durability: Good
Overall impression: Great glitter!
Buy again: Yes
