Girly Bits ~ Bird is the Word

Girly Bits ~ Bird is the Word
Pale purple holo

Bird is the Word is from the Girly Bits Autumn 2013 collection. I bought that one and D!ck In A Box; I’ll show you that one soon too.

Formula is just as good as I expected. The polish just glides on, and leaves no bald spots behind it. I used my regular base coat, and had no problems with application at all. Coverage is good too – it took two coats to make it opaque, and drying time between coats is faster than average. That’s a plus, I can tell you.

Here is a picture of two coats, no topcoat, picture taken with flash:

I love those rainbows! The polish is a little bit more muted than I’d usually go for, but sometimes it’s nice to get “something else” on your nails!

Here’s a picture taken in low lights.

This one is also taken in low lights without flash. I love that there are still rainbows, but I’m sure you understand what I mean when I say that I’d like a bit more of an edge.

I stamped on it. I chose a swirl motif from Moyou London stamping plate Princess Collection-14, and I stamped with Sally Hansen Insta-Dri “Quick Jeanius”. Here’s what it ended up looking like – there’s still no topcoat involved.

This totally grew on me as time went – I like it when that happens. I can see that I could easily have chosen a “chunkier” design without any problems whatsoever. Perhaps I’ll do that when I’m showing you D!ck in a Box :D

Do you like this?

Opacity: 7/10
Colour, prettiness: 5/10
Durability: 8/10
Value for money: 7/10
Overall: 7/10
Buy again: Nah
