Lilypad Lacquer ~ Seascape

Lilypad Lacquer ~ Seascape
Blueish/greenish polish

I might as well tell you right away: The pictures in this post are not colour accurate. They look exactly like other swatches I can find of this polish, but it doesn’t quite look like the polish looks like on my nails.

But let’s do it anyway! The formula is good and the pigmentation too. It took two easy coat to achieve desired opacity. Drying time between coats is good, so no problems to report in that department either.

And here is two coats of Seascape on its own. The picture is taken with flash:

It looks sky blue here, doesn’t it? Well, it isn’t. The real colour is somewhere between blue and green, and the polish has got a golden touch to it that definitely shows on my nails – but not at all on my pictures.

Here’s a picture taken in my lightbox. That makes the polish look almost turquoise, but it still doesn’t show the green that the polish also contains.

I stamped on it. I used a motif from a Moyou London stamping plate called Pro Collection-02, and I stamped with a no name polish called Suzi Skis in the Pyrenees (and no, it’s not the OPI!). Here’s the stamping plate:

Here’s the final mani:

And one last shot:

I really like Moyou London’s stamping plates. The motifs are way too big for my relatively small and short nails, but it doesn’t matter with designs like this one.
I’m disappointed that I couldn’t catch the real colour of this polish. I tried the best I could – but please note: None of these pictures are quite colour accurate!

  1. Yes, some polishes are very hard to capture in pictures in their true beauty, but I love what you did, the polish is stunning and the pattern is perfect for it!
