Lilypad Lacquer ~ Where the Lilypads grow

Lilypad Lacquer ~ Where the Lilypads grow
Jeansblue holo

I’ve decided to take a few days to show you a couple of my more special polishes. The day before esterday I showed you “Angel’s Kiss”, a Norway Nails exclusive. Today I’m going to show you “Where the Lilypads Grow”, which is a Facebook group custom, which could only be purchased if you were a part of that group. I am so glad to be a member of the group, and to get my hands on this polish.

The formula is good, pigmentation too. It takes two fairly fast drying coats to make this polish look its best. I just use my regular basecoat and have no problems with that: There’s no need for a special aqua basecoat for this polish.

Here’s what two coats and no topcoat looks like. The picture is taken with flash:

I love that! it’s kind of like a mix between linear and scattered holo. There are glimpses of linear effect on the nails, as you can see, but it’s not in your face-holographic.

Another picture taken with flash:

In low lights the polish looks a bit dusty, but I have to say that I still like this!

I stamped stars on it. I used a stamping plate called W203, and stamped with Kiko 616 Silver, from their Mirror collection. Here’s a picture taken with flash:

And another one. There’s no topcoat involved on any of these pictures.

Here’s a shot taken in low lights. That stamp is just me! I love all the tiny little stars!

Yes, I like my Facebook group custom a lot, and am pleased that I got it. Do you like this colour? And are you also a fan of stars, just like me?

Number of coats: 2
Drying time: Fast
Durability: Good
Removal: No problems
Overall impression: Great colour. I would have loved a stronger holo effect.
Buy again: Yes

You can’t buy this polish if you are not a part of the Facebook group, but you can buy other pretty Lilypad Lacquers at norwaynails.com. You should definitely check out Angel’s Kiss, I showed you the day before yesterday!

Norway Nails have kindly offered my readers a 10% discount code. Just use the code RAINBOWIFYME10 at checkout and you'll be getting 10% off your purchase.
