Smitten Polish ~ Harold’s Crayon

Smitten Polish ~ Harold’s Crayon
Redish Purple linear holo

Okay, I have a holo problem. Hello!, I’m a holo addict. I need to move to another hemisphere where the sun shines all the time, so I can enjoy wearing a holo every single day.

I am a sucker for purple polishes too, so purple + holo = a winner, right? Right!

The formula of Harold’s Crayon is really good. I used my regular basecoat, and had no problems with application whatsoever. It covers really well too. Two coats and it was fully opaque. And girl, can this baby make rainbows? Yes she can!

Take a look at two coats, no topcoat – picture is taken with flash:

Isn’t that just a fantastic looking purple?

I love when the purples lean to the red instead of the blue. And I love rainbows. You should know that by now, haha!

Anyway, I decided to stamp on it. I used a stamping plate from Moyou London called Pro Collection-05. I stamped with a black no name stamping polish. And I chose the design in the bottom left corner: The butterfly wing.

The designs on this plate are all XL, and that’s actually way too big for my relatively small and short nails to make sense. But I’ve been wanting butterfly wings on my nails since I saw it first on another blog, so I gave it a go anyway. Here’s what it ended up looking like on my nails:

I have to laugh! They look like little purple ghosts on my nails, hahahaha!!!

The pattern only makes sense on my thumb, the biggest of my nails, take a look:

What I really like about this polish is that it’s exceptionally pretty out of the sunshine (and the flash light) too. Here’s a picture taken in my lightbox:

If that isn’t an amazing purple holographic polish, then I don’t know what is! I send a very friendly thought and a kiss to Smitten Polish for making such a beautiful polish. Thank you! <3

  5. Yes, I'm so with you on the holo! Thankfully we receive a lot of sunny days here in Colorado so I'm pretty spoiled when it comes to the capturing. This is a great polish and way to work with those larger images!

    1. I'm envious of those who have lots of sunny days. Yesterday I had a glimpse of the sun for maybe a minute, and I gazed at the rainbows that showed up on my nails, haha! :D
