Zoya Mason, Claire’s Digi Pop & Dance Legend holo topcoat

Zoya Mason, Claire’s Digi Pop & Dance Legend holo topcoat
Another layering experience

Here are another couple of polishes bought in Hungary – and yes, I did bring home quite a few polishes from that vacation.

Let me start out with Zoya Mason, a lovely redish purple with tiny little flecks. The application is easy, and coverage is good and the drying time is also really good.

Here’s two coats and a layer of topcoat:

The little flecks are really cute.

The reason I applied topcoat was because I had a tape mani in mind, but I changed my mind. I found a great bright yellow glitter from Claire’s instead, called Digi Pop. I just applied one coat over the purple, and here’s that step:

That’s quite nice, I like that. It’s not quite enough though: I holofied it! I applied one coat of Dance Legend’s holo topcoat, and then I was satisfied. The holo topcoat adds a great holo effect but it does also grey the underlaying polish quite a bit. Sometimes I don’t mind that so much, so here’s my final mani:

Another flash shot to flash the holo goodness:

Some of you know that I like layering once in a while. I don’t know how many of you would actually pair reddish purple and bright yellow, but I know I like it! :D

  5. The purple base & yellow glitter combo is awesome--so unexpected and very interesting! I love how much contrast there is between the two colors. :)

  7. I love it most with just Mason + Digi Pop... I like holos too but I don't like the way this one greyed the base so much personally

    1. I see what you mean, and the DL does grey out the underlaying polishes. But the holo effect is soooo pretty *sigh* :D
