Peggy Sage Mineral Style ~ Sandy Poppy

Peggy Sage Mineral Style ~ Sandy Poppy
Red texture with golden and pink shimmer

After trying my first Peggy Sage, I was curious the try the other one too. I wanted to find out if the good quality was a one time thing, or if it also applied to the other polish I bought.

It turned out to be a texture! My mind hadn’t translated the “Sandy” part of the name – silly me, hahaha! Anyway: The formula is really nice and the polish is almost opaque in one single coat. I applied a second one to even out irregularities, but I don’t think it made much of a difference to be honest. The drying time between the coats was relatively slow. Sandy Poppy dries up textured, but it’s not extremely dense. It’s a “softer” texture that won’t hang onto your sweaters, your hair or whatever.

The polish is extremely pretty. Here’s two coats and no topcoat – the picture is taken with flash:

Here’s a picture taken in the lightbox. I love the shimmers!

This picture gives you an impression of the grittiness.

I think this colour called for flower! I dotted them on. The white is OPI’s Angel with a Leadfoot and the orange is a mix of the same white and Kiko #469 from the Sun Show collection and an orange glitter my friend mixed for me. I applied a layer of topcoat with fixed the grittiness completely. Here’s the final mani taken with flash:

And here’s a low light picture.

I really dig this, that’s all I need to say!

Number of coats: 2
Drying time: Slow
Finish: Texture with shimmer
Overall impression: Great colour and I love the not extreme-texture that can be smooth out with just one layer of topcoat
Buy again: Yes
