Rival de Loop ~ Brilliant
Pink & Catrice ~ Blue and a half Men
A blobicure
There’s something I’ve been wanting to try
for a while and that’s a blobicure. I’ve seen several bloggers do it and today
is the day where I try it too. Basically it’s about it’s little blobs of polish
dripped into another not yet dry polish.
So: I started out with Rival de Loop’s
Brilliant Pink, and that’s exactly what it is. It’s easy to apply, it has
really good coverage and good drying time too. I applied one coat on each nail and
when that was dry I applied a second rich coat. Right after the application of
the second coat I dripped blobs of Blue and a half Men onto the pink, and then
continued to the next nail.
Here’s the final mani, including a layer of
fast drying top coat.
My blobs didn’t float out as much as I’ve
seen on other blogs, but I don’t mind that so much.
I like the end result nonetheless.
Here are the polishes I used. I bought them
both in Germany.
The Rival de Loop is a winner – such a beautiful pink with tons of
shimmer in it. I bought the Catrice mostly for the name; I’m a big fan of the
TV series Two and a half Men.
I like the effect of this, but the mani never
really dried. I waited for a while and then I applied the fast drying top coat.
I wasn’t able to actually wear this so I’m not sure if I’m going to try it
again.
I've wanted to try this too for a while! It looks so cool on you :)
ReplyDeletePlease try it, I would love to see you do it! :)
DeleteRival the Loop is gorgeous! Catrice is nice too and they both together give a lovely combo of colours. I've tried blobbicure once but I wasn't satisfied with the colour combo. It was looking like large blood cells :D
ReplyDeleteI love that RdL, it's a really cool polish.
DeleteHaha, large blood cells, that's hilarious!! :D
That's a gorgeous pink base - with or without the blobs :)
ReplyDeleteOh, thank you so much :)
DeleteSuch a fun mani! :-)
ReplyDeleteThank you, I appreciate it :)
DeleteThis is such a cute manicure, I love the colours you used! I think they look great together. I am kicking myself for not getting the blue polish recently! xx
ReplyDeleteThank you. I really hope you'll find the blue polish again! :) x
DeleteLove these two colours together x
ReplyDeleteI'm super pleased to hear that, thanks! x
DeleteTwo gorgeous polish and what a cute mani :-)
ReplyDeleteThat's so sweet of you, thank you :)
DeleteThis has worked really well ~ it looks so lovely!
ReplyDeleteThank you so much :)
DeleteAw, both colours are really nice :)
ReplyDeleteThank you, I am glad you like them :)
DeleteI love this, it's simple but cool looking. When I did this I waited around half an hour to top coat(Seche Vite), and then another 45 minutes or so of being really careful. Apart from the fact that it took a while for me to feel comfortable using my hands it dried completely.
ReplyDeletePatience isn't one of my strongest virtues to be honest. And I am bound to dent it if I'm supposed to be careful for that long :)
