Rival de Loop ~ Brilliant Pink & Catrice ~ Blue and a half Men

Rival de Loop ~ Brilliant Pink & Catrice ~ Blue and a half Men
A blobicure

There’s something I’ve been wanting to try for a while and that’s a blobicure. I’ve seen several bloggers do it and today is the day where I try it too. Basically it’s about it’s little blobs of polish dripped into another not yet dry polish.

So: I started out with Rival de Loop’s Brilliant Pink, and that’s exactly what it is. It’s easy to apply, it has really good coverage and good drying time too. I applied one coat on each nail and when that was dry I applied a second rich coat. Right after the application of the second coat I dripped blobs of Blue and a half Men onto the pink, and then continued to the next nail.

Here’s the final mani, including a layer of fast drying top coat.

My blobs didn’t float out as much as I’ve seen on other blogs, but I don’t mind that so much.

I like the end result nonetheless.

Here are the polishes I used. I bought them both in Germany.

The Rival de Loop is a winner – such a beautiful pink with tons of shimmer in it. I bought the Catrice mostly for the name; I’m a big fan of the TV series Two and a half Men.

I like the effect of this, but the mani never really dried. I waited for a while and then I applied the fast drying top coat. I wasn’t able to actually wear this so I’m not sure if I’m going to try it again.

  2. Rival the Loop is gorgeous! Catrice is nice too and they both together give a lovely combo of colours. I've tried blobbicure once but I wasn't satisfied with the colour combo. It was looking like large blood cells :D

  8. I love this, it's simple but cool looking. When I did this I waited around half an hour to top coat(Seche Vite), and then another 45 minutes or so of being really careful. Apart from the fact that it took a while for me to feel comfortable using my hands it dried completely.

    1. Patience isn't one of my strongest virtues to be honest. And I am bound to dent it if I'm supposed to be careful for that long :)
