El Corazón ~ 418/291
Sexy red
shimmer
Today I did something I don’t usually do: I planned
ahead. That means that I decided which nail art to add to my nails beforehand.
I don’t often do that – usually I see where a polish takes me once it’s on the
nails.
That turned out to be a bit of a mistake, haha!! Let
me get back to that in a moment.
I started out with two layers of 418/291. The coverage
is good and so is the drying time. The smell is odd, which is unusual for El
Corazón. I think it has only happened once before, so I wonder if it’s a
pigment that smells a bit weird. It can’t be the base for sure. Never mind, it
doesn’t smell bad, just different than the rest of them.
Then I stamped on it. I went for a very discrete stamp
today. The design is from Moyra’s stamping plate “27-Dreamology”, and I stamped
with El Corazón’s stamping polish “First Kiss”.
And then I made my mistake: I added more shimmer and
that turned out to cover up my stamping completely :D The shimmer I used is
from Catrice’s “Shake & Seal” topcoat collection, and it’s called “Coral
Bay”.
Let me show you the final manicure so you can see what I’m talking about:
Can you see the stamping? No? How about now? :D
This is two coats of 418/291 all alone.
And here’s the stuff I used.
I am still really happy with my nails, even though I
made the stamping disappear.
