Lilypad
Lacquer ~ Nature’s Calling
Depending on
the light, it is bronze, purple, green, blue or black. Holographic and with
flakies.
Today’s polish is from something called “The Holo
Grail”-box from march 2014. The concept is known today but it was fairly new
back then: You subscribe to a monthly box of limited edition holographic
polishes. “The Holo Grail” had numerous makers, take a look at this description
taken from the press release:
Brands:
Aly’s Dream Polish, Emily de Molly, Foxy Paws Polish, Lilypad Lacquer,
Literary Lacquers, NailNation3000, Philly Loves Lacquer, Too Fancy Lacquer
Each box will contain 4 polishes, Too Fancy Lacquer is the core brand of the box with 3 other brands rotating.

There will be a theme each month and it will be announced when the box is available for preorder. The shades will remain a mystery until customers receive their box, however, there will be a collage of photos showing the inspiration from each brand.
“Nature’s Calling” is from the very first box and was
a total surprise for me. It is dark, murky – not exactly a spring colour in my
opinion. That’s also why it has now been sitting in a box here for over four
years.
The formula is good though and so is the coverage. I
used two coats for full opacity and the drying time is good.
The stamping design is from the stamping plate
“BP-L005” and I stamped with Superchic Lacquer’s “Dart Thru the Heart”.
Here’s the final manicure in the sun:
And here’s the same thing in my lightbox so you can
see the design.
“Nature’s Calling” alone; two coats and no topcoat;

photographed in my lightbox so you can see both the colour shift and the
flakies.
Here are the doohickeys I used today.
I must admit that I’m not a huge fan of this polish.
It’s way too murky and dark, also bearing in mind that this was a Spring
release.
“Nature’s Calling” was limited edition and is no
longer available.

Not a spring color, but I like it anyway.
