Rimmel: Shirley Temple
Juicy orange with glass
flecks
"Shirley Temple" is the fourth polish from the five polish collection
I have already shown you some of. I think the collection came out around 2013
and it was really popular here at the time. The collection was called
"Cocktail Colour".
Rimmel claims on the bottle that this is a one coater and that the one coat
dries in 60 seconds. I have already found out that there is no way that these
are one coaters. I ended up with two coats of "Shirley Temple" to
achieve full opacity. The drying time is good, but it takes a couple of minutes
more than 60 seconds for it to dry.
I think this juicy orange called for a stamp with citrus fruits. I dapped a bit
of pastel yellow onto my nails and then I stamped with black. The black was a
mistake, I really regret that. I should have stamped with white instead. But
done is done, and you live and you learn. The citrus fruit stamp is from the
stamping plate "Fruit BP-X45".
Here's the final result, including a layer of topcoat.

I still think that the citrus fruit theme was a great idea, even though the
black kind of overpovered it.

Here's "Shirley Temple" alone; two coats and no topcoat. It's s super
delicious colour and finish.

And here are the things I used today.
Essence: Uni-cone, Rimmel: Shirley Temple, Born Pretty Store: Black stamping polish |
There was a time where I never wore orange, because they all seemed to be Autumn-toned. This is so delicious and cool that I had no problems wearing it.
Number of coats: 2
Drying time: Good
Finish: Glass fleck
Overall impression: Very pretty finish, super juicy colour
Buy again: Yes
I like to see this kind of polish on your nails, but it's definitely not for me, simply because I don't like orange (neither yellow...), but I would definitely wear your final manicure on my nails very gladly, it looks beautiful! :-)
ReplyDeleteI am so glad to hear that! The black was a little "wild" but yes, I could definitely see it on your nails :)
