Lacquerlicious ~ Amethyst Glaze

Lacquerlicious ~ Amethyst Glaze
Deep purple base with red, teal and purple microglitter

It’s probably not a secret that I love glitter. Glitter started my nail polish collection and it seems like I just never get tired of it.

The formula is a little bit on the thick side but I actually prefer that, so it was no big deal for me. Drying time is pretty good, and the polish builds up nicely. I first started out with two coats and a layer of topcoat, but the camera is friggin’ merciless when it comes to showing all the little flaws and I was not happy with the pictures at all. So I applied a third layer of polish and another layer of topcoat, and then I was happy. So two coats is enough for ordinary use for sure.

Take a look at three coats and a layer of topcoat:

Isn’t that just fantastic?!

I am stunned. I love it!

Here’s a rare shot of my hand without a bottle of polish. I like this picture a lot.

Verdict:
Yes, yes, a hundred times yes. I don’t know what else to say.
I actually liked it so much that I decided to see what it looked like on my beige carpet – I accidentally dropped the open bottle onto the carpet. But although I really do like the colour a lot, I had my boyfriend help me to get it off again. Phew…!

Number of coats: 3 for the swatches
Drying time: Good
Finish: Glitter
Overall impression: I love the mix of glitters a lot and I think this is extremely pretty!!
Buy again: yes!

  1. Oh poor polish, I hope you didn't spill all of this pretty polish (note that I do not feel sorry for the carpet at all hahahaha)

  4. I love the colors in this polish! I prefer my polishes a bit thicker too :) and I really like that picture where you aren't holding a bottle... it's a great angle to show off the polish!

  5. This is gorgeous! Laquerlicious is one of my favorite brands. I don't mind if a polish is somewhat thick. It's a lot better than having one that is super thin and takes a bunch of coats to build up. It's especially true for glitters.

    1. This is one of my first experiences with Lacquerlicious but I'm sure I will enroll more of them in my stash, because I really liked the two I got :)
