SuperChic Lacquer ~ Dopamine

SuperChic Lacquer ~ Dopamine
Sky blue linear holo

Today I did something that wasn’t as clever as I thought it was going to be: I mixed two topcoats. I have a variety of topcoats for various purposes and sometimes when I have a couple of half empty bottles I pour one into the other. My previous experience has taught me that if one of them doesn’t smear the nail designs then it stays smear free even if you mix in a smearer. Well… not this time. I mixed Moyra’s stamping topcoat, which is smear free, with El Corazón’s Quick Dry Top Coat, which definitely isn’t smear free. And dagnabbit! Now it smears like crazy, you’ll see! :(

Anyway – I used two coats of Dopamine for my mani. This is a one coater though; three strokes and your nail is done :D The drying time is really good too.

The stamp I used is from Lina’s stamping plate Feeling Shapely! 07, and I stamped with a mix of a dark blue stamping polish from Born Pretty Store and a White one from El Corazón.

Here’s my final mani including a layer of design-smearing topcoat:

The design looks a bit like snowflakes on the picture, but it isn’t. This is a close up of the design on the plate.

This is two coats of Dopamine, no topcoat.

Here are the polishes I used, excluding the now smearing topcoat.

Dopamine is a lovely, lovely polish. Great colour, great finish, great everything.

Number of coats: 2
Drying time: Really good
Finish: Linear holo
Overall impression: Wow, what a great polish. I love it all: The formula, the rainbows, the drying time!
Buy again: Yes

  1. It's a shame to smear that pretty stamping but it kind of looks like a marble this way:)
