Sally Hansen ~ #545 Firey Island

Sally Hansen ~ #545 Firey Island
Bright orange crème

I was in the mood for something bright today. I’m not a girl who lets the seasons decide which colours to wear.

I used two easy coats of Firey Island. It’s a nice, bright orange and the formula is really good. Sally Hansen’s polishes have impressed me quality-wise lately.

I made dots on them because dots are cheerful. I used two stamping polishes from El Corazón for my dots: “Red” and “Yellow Neon”. I wish I had made the dots white and yellow instead, but hey ho, mistakes do happen and it’s all a part of the learning curve here.

This is my final manicure including topcoat.

I think my stamping polishes might have become too thick for anything other than stamping so next time I’m going to use regular polishes for my dots.

This is two coats of Firey Island on its own; no topcoat yet. It’s a lovely orange, I like it a lot.

Here are the three polishes I used.

I love the orange but I wasn’t really happy with the manicure as a whole. The red didn’t really work on the orange. It’s not the first time I’ve make that mistake but I’ll see if I can remember it in future haha! :D

Dance Legend ~ Bi #48 Alena

Dance Legend ~ Bi #48 Alena
Dark shimmery beetle green

This is my third and last polish from Dance Legend’s Bi collection for now. I must admit that I really like this collection so I might buy some more when I see some interesting colours.

I used two easy and fast drying coats for my manicure.

I placed zig zag vinyls on my nails and painted a layer of H&M’s “Standing Ovation” over it. It’s a silver holo glitter polish, and it’s more than a topper as you can see.

I topped it all with a layer of topcoat and this is how it all ended up:

This is two coats of Alena on its own. There is a layer of topcoat involved already.

Here’s the stuffses I used for my nails today.

I think this collection is really awesome and I can get a really good wear out of them. Good quality, easy to use, good wear. It’s all wins in my book.

IT Style ~ #170

IT Style ~ #170
Red with pink microglitter

Here’s another beauty from Italy! I bought so many pretties there. It took a while to actually find them but it was so worth the search.

The formula was good and covered well. I used two coats for my manicure but I could easily have got away with just one. Don’t you just love that!?

I applied a layer of silver/holo glitter over it. It’s a beauty from Alix Avien. It’s another nameless polish, but it’s number 110. It’s an oldie and I love it!

I sealed the whole thing up with topcoat and this is my final manicure taken in ordinary daylight.

I adore this. Sometimes glitter is all a polish need.

IT Style ~ #170

This is the IT Style polish on its own. It’s two coats and no topcoat yet. This picture is taken in ordinary daylight. There’s no topcoat involved just yet, but the microglitter pops a bit more after the topcoat.

Here are the two polishes, one from Italy and one from Turkey.

I’m well impressed with my polishes from IT Style and I will check out their range again if we ever go to Italy again.
