Walking down Memory Lane with Anny: Absolutely Fuchsia

Walking down Memory Lane with Anny: Absolutely Fuchsia
Magenta shimmer

I want to wear my old pretties more! So I’m going to start this little series of “Walking Down Memory Lane with...”-posts.

“Absolutely Fuchsia” was my first Anny-polish. I bought it on a vacation in Germany in 2012. I remember that I thought it was ridiculously expensive: EUR9.50. That’s approximately US$11.75. It’s expensive, but the prices of indie polishes seem to have made it a more reasonable price than it seemed at the time. After about half an hour in the shop, debating back and forth, my boyfriend nudged me to buy it. I love it, it’s a gorgeous polish so I’m happy that he did.

Today’s it’s going to shine again, and I am very happy that my photographic skills have improved a lot since 2012.

I used two coats for full opacity. The first coat dried fast; the drying time was average on the second coat.

The stamp I used is from the stamping plate “Mezerdoo39” and I stamped with a dark purple stamping polish from BornPrettyStore.

Here’s what it all ended up looking like. This picture is taken in daylight. Isn’t that shine just amazing??

Here’s the same thing in the light box. I just love the finish of “Absolutely Fuchsia”. The colour is so pretty too.

And here’s “Absolutely Fuchsia” alone. Two coats and no topcoat.

This is the stuff I used today.

I am so glad that I bought this polish back then. It’s a super pretty beauty and now she’s got several of her Anny sisters side by side with her in my Helmer. Anny is a great brand!

Number of coats: 2

Finish: Lots of shimmer
Overall impression: Great colour and shine, good formula

  1. Its a beautiful shade but too costly for me. It will be more or less 1150 in here.I could buy more than 25 polish on that budget :D Nonetheless its always nice to have something to look back and brings you nice memory ;)

    1. The prices here are way higher than where you are. An ordinary OPI costs almost US$20 here, so I buy all mine on ebay :D

  2. It looks really lovely! I think a memory lane is a great idea for a series. I wish my old polishes got to come out more often!
