Bright green with golden flakes of shimmer and a sprinkle of multi chrome flakies

Squeaky Swings & Tall Grass is from the Bespoke batch from April 2015. I got it in a swap with my dearest swap friend Carolyn. I love that girl to bits! ♥

The formula was okay but the first coat came on a little bit streaky. The second coat evened out all the little irregularities. The drying time is really good. Jolly good show!

I love this colour!

I didn’t do any nail art on it. It was late and I wasn’t in the mood to come up with something off the wall. Do you like greens such as this one?

Rich red linear holo with purple holo flame

976-Babe is from the Pretty Woman 25th Anniversary Collection from 2015.

The formula is really good and covers well – in fact it’s almost a one coater. The second coat made everything a little bit better though, so that’s what I recommend. The drying time is good, so no problemo in that department.

I was lucky to catch a short glimpse of the evening sun before it set!

I also took a picture of it with flash, just to show you how crazy the rainbows are! I’m amazed!

Here’s a picture taken in the shade. The sun was gone at that point. Aren’t them rainbows just wild?!

I made a dotticure out of it. I used Color Club’s Harp on It, which I bought recently. I didn’t buy it when it came out because I thought an ordinary silver holo was too ordinary. I don’t know what I was thinking! I bought it on eBay recently and guess what? This is the most expensive polish of the entire two Halo Hues sets! Amazing, huh? That’ll teach me till next time for sure.

Anyway, dots here, there and everywhere, first with Harp on It and then with 976-Babe again, and here’s my final mani in the flashlight:

Teal with aqua shimmer and scattered holo effect

I was in the mood for something else than red, so I dived into the box of untrieds and dug out “In Another Dimension”, which is from the Spring Frenzy 2014 collection. It’s described as aqua blue, but it looks like teal to me.

I used two coats for this mani. The first coat went on streaky and uneven, but the second coat was very forgiving. The drying time is good.

I dabbed some white glitter by the base of each nail, and fished out a large hexagon and placed it strategically in the middle by the base. I used Sally Hansen’s Luxe Lace “Eyelet” for that purpose. I sealed it all up with a layer of topcoat, and here’s my final mani taken with flash:

I did consider leaving the holo on it’s own, but on the other hand, it’s nice with some white to lighten it all up a bit.

Red linear holo

Here’s a polish I actually bought by accident. I was shopping on Color4Nails website for some LE Emily de Molly polishes, and when I went to check out, this one was in my cart as well. I guess I threw it in the cart last time I shopped there, but changed my mind and thought it would disappear from the cart when I signed out again. But it didn’t; it stayed there till next time. And since I wanted to make sure someone didn’t cartjack my haul, I just checked out. And I’m glad I did, because this polish is really pretty.

I’ve got my eyes on reds at the moment, I don’t know if it’s temporary or not, but probably not. And ‘Just Look at the Flowers’ is certainly a really pretty red.

The formula is good and it’s almost a self-applying polish. Two coats is what it takes and the drying time is good.

I stamped on it. I found a funny circular motif on Moyou London’s stamping plate Illusion Collection-02 and I stamped with Barry M’s Lilac Foil. I topcoated the whole thing and then I took pictures of the final mani:

It’s water marble time! Yay! Can you tell that I’m still over the moon over the fact that I can actually do it? I am! I’m thrilled! :D

So anyway, I picked three polishes from Dance Legend’s Fresh collection. I love that collection; it’s full of cool colours with shimmer. Love, love, love!

Do you like it? I am in love!

What I like the most is that this actually looks like a mix between marble pattern and nice cool swimming pool water!

What I learned about water marbling today:

• It’s still a very colourful mess
• Try to remember how you made a particular pattern in the water so you can re-do it on the other nails
• More practice makes better and better

Neon purple matte

I might as well tell you right away: It wasn’t easy for my camera to pick up the neon-ness (neonosity?, neonfulness?, neoniciousness?) of today’s polish!

The formula was great though and the polish covered really well. I was satisfied after the first coat, but decided to add another coat to make sure that my little brat of a camera wouldn’t pick up unwanted details invisible to the naked eye.  Anyway - the drying time is really good.

Here’s two coats, no underwear or topcoat. The picture is taken in the sun and is colour accurate.

I was actually amazed over how good the formula was. Matte neons can really be a challenge, but not this one. This photo isn’t quite colour accurate. The polish is somewhat more purple than pink hued in real life.

I made stripes on it. I used a purple from Golden Rose, #37 from their Color Expert Collection. I made a wide and two narrower stripes on each nail. When that was dry I added a layer of Butter London’s Disco Biscuit. It’s a pink jelly with blue shimmer. I have had it for a long while, but haven’t used it because it’s so sheer. But today’s the day it’s going to shine on the blog.

I’m not happy with these last two pictures. I swear my mani looked better in real life than these photos suggest. Damn!

Purple jelly with purple and holo microglitter

Jellyfish Rave is from last year’s summer collection.

The formula is good and I used two coats for this mani. The drying time between the coats is good too, no worries.

I copied a mani I did before, I just used other polishes. The green is 131 Angstrom, and the pink is Amas Veritas.

Here are the pretties. Amas Veritas is in an old Smitten Polish bottle.

The colour of this made me wonder though. The colour is way paler than when I look up swatches on Google. I wonder if my bottle has faded!

Red linear holo

Love Bite is from the Blooming Babes 2014 Spring collection. I got it from my amazing friend Carolyn who lives in the US of A.

The formula is great and really easy to work with. I used two coats for full opacity and the drying time was good. The colour is amazing, I really love colours like this.

The holo flames are stunningly beautiful.

Here’s a picture taken in ordinary daylight. I’m mesmerized by the rainbows *swoon*

I added Snoopy water decals. I found a really cute Snoopy with a heart which I thought would fit the theme just perfectly. On the same sheet of decals I found some hearts too. While I added the hearts, Snoopy decided to slide to one side of my nail. I only saw it after it was too late to scoop him back onto the middle, gosh darn it. But oh well, he’s super cute anyway.

Teal linear holo with teal and golden shimmer

Look Who’s Stocking Now is from the Christmas Collection 2014.

The formula is good and I used two rich coats for this mani. The drying time is pretty good.

The sun was not coorperative, so here is a picture taken with flash. It’s two coats and no topcoat:

It looks great, right? I’m not over the moon with it in low lights though:

So I covered it up, haha! I applied a thin layer of Anny’s “Absolutely Fuchsia”, and before it dried I used bubble wrap to lift some of the fuchsia polish off again. I sealed the whole thing up with topcoat, and then I took my final pictures. Here’s the flash photo:

I like it much more with the fuchsia on top. What about you?

Pink jelly with pink flecks

I decided that today is Drugstore Day! I picked a lovely pink Catrice from the box of untrieds.

It’s a jelly, but easy to work with. It took three coats to make me really happy. Usually I’m not into three coaters, but the drying time is good so I have already forgiven this pink beauty.

I forgot to take pictures of the polish on it’s own – so let me show you the final mani right away and then talk you through the procedure afterwards.

Sunshine picture:

It’s three coats of Miami pINK. I used a motif from BP-L 003 and I stamped with a sky blue stamping polish from Moyou (not London). When that was dry I applied a layer of El Corazón #421h/25, which is a clear base with holo flakies.
