Morgan Taylor ~ New York State of Mind

Morgan Taylor ~ New York State of Mind
Black base with purple, pink, blue and gold (holo) glitter

It’s been a while since I had a Morgan Taylor here, so allow me to show you the last untried Morgan Taylor I’ve got for now. I received New York State of Mind in a swap, and I was thrilled when I saw it in real life.

The formula is good and so is the coverage. It takes two coats to make this baby shine! And the drying time is good too. I haven’t really got anything bad to report about this polish to be honest :)

Here’s two coats and a layer of topcoat:

Isn’t that just pretty?

I don’t like polishes that are “just black”, but this one has got the exact right amount of glitter to make it through my critical filter.

I added one simple star by the base of each nail. I dipped a orange stick in a slow drying topcoat and dapped a little onto the nail. With the same orange stick I “caught” a star and placed it onto the nail. It was actually really easy – but easier than I expected it to be. I didn’t apply a topcoat over the stars. Here’s my mani:

I think the stars look really cool on this particular polish.

I am somewhat surprised that Morgan Taylor polishes aren’t that popular in blog land yet. I don’t know how hard they are to get, since I got all mine in swaps.

Do you own any Morgan Taylors?

Number of coats: 2
Drying time: Fast
Finish: Jelly base packed with glitter. Needs a topcoat to really shine.
Overall impression: I love all the glitter, it makes this polish something special!
Buy again: Yes
