Love Thy Polish ~ Green Eyed Monster

I was in the mood for something bright, and my eyes laid on KBShimmer’s It’s Razz-ical! It’s a red-violet jelly with holographic hex glitters in magenta, silver and pink.

The formula seem a bit on the thin side but it’s still easy to apply and it’s super pigmented, so it only takes two coats to make it opaque. Drying time between the coats is on the fast side. It dries up a little bit dull, but a layer of topcoat makes it all glittery and shiny, so that’s definitely recommendable!

Here’s what two coats and a layer of Ellagee’s topcoat Glass look like.

This picture is taken with flash. It’s Razz-ical can be really loud, and I love that!

I had stamping in mind but I changed my mind last minute. I pulled out another untried, Love Thy Polish “Green Eyed Monster”, which is described as a deep green holo. It’s deep and holo alright, but it looks blue to me. Anyway – I used craft scissors to make a pattern in my tape, and then taped my nails vertically, two thirds of the way in. I painted the last third with Green Eyed Monster and removed the tape right after applying the polish. I sealed the whole thing up with another layer of Ellagee’s Glass, and here’s my final mani:

See? The Green Eyed Monster is blue :D

This turned out really well – I’m totally satisfied with it. I love it when that happens! :)
