Ooh La Lacquer ~ Perfect
Storm, Lady Scarlet and Blu Radley
Holo swatches
After wearing Ooh La Lacquer’s Regal Knievel yesterday I felt in the
mood to wear the remaining three sisters. I decided to swatch them – both to
get them into the Helmer but also to check if some of them need to be passed on
to better homes.
I started out with Perfect Storm,
which is a light blue strong linear holo. It’s the sheerest of the bunch, I
needed three coats before I got rid of the visible nail line. The drying time
between the coats is average.
The sun was shining, which is just perfect when you want to show off
your holos :D
Take a look at what 3 coats and no topcoat look like in the sunshine:
Isn’t that just pretty? The sun went behind a cloud, and I snapped another
pic.
And here’s what it looked like in my lightbox.
Verdict:
I love the holo effect, but I must admit that it’s a tad too baby blue for my likings. This will probably find a nice and more appreciating home soon.

Next one is is Lady Scarlet. She is a pink leaning polish with mixed linear and
scattered holo effect.
The formula is good, and two coats is what it takes to make it opaque.
Drying time is average, like her sisters.

Here’s another picture. Look how the holo effect kind of mixes together.
Here’s a low light picture. The rainbows are still visible.
Verdict:
Lady Scarlet was the one that surprised me the most. When I saw the
bottle in real life, I didn’t think I would like the polish on at all. But
seriously, this really grew on me! Thumbs up – Lady Scarlet gets to stay for a
while!

Last one up is Blu Radley, a blue
leaning purple linear holo.
Same good formula as the rest of them, and I used two coats for my swatches. Drying time is average, no surprise there.

Here’s what that beauty looks like in the sunshine:
I love this, I think it’s gorgeous!
And here’s a lightbox picture. The rainbows are still there and I still
love the colour.
Verdict:
This is my favourite of the bunch. I love the colour and the fact that it’s both pretty in and out of the sunshine. This one definitely gets to stay!

So much holo goodness :D - Blu Radley is definitely also my favorite!
ReplyDeleteA girl can never get too much holo goodness :D
DeleteBright and sweet holos. :-)
ReplyDeleteThank you, I'm glad you like them! :)
DeleteThe pink one and the purple one are my favourites :) I'm not into baby blues much (wow, that sounds as if I've just given a birth to a baby! :D) so this is my nr 3.
ReplyDeleteHahaha, it does indeed sound like that :D The blue is my number three too, and it does not live with me any longer :)
DeleteThat purple--so pretty! I might need to track that down.
ReplyDeleteYou should, I know you won't regret it :)
DeleteThey all look so pretty! I can't pick between them which I prefer! :-)
ReplyDeleteI couldn't either, that's why I bought all three :D
