Claire's: #69925
Purple Holo
Purple to
magenta and blue duochromatic shimmer
"Purple Holo" is another polish from my
recent Claire's-haul. The name suggests that it's holographic but it isn't.
It's a duochrome packed with shimmer. I think it's meant to be a topper, but I
decided to wear it on its own.
The first coat is sheer. The second coat builds the
coverage up somewhat, but I wasn't satisfied before the third coat was added.
The drying time is really good. There were still bits where I could see through
the polish but I was genuinely happy with three coats. The drying time between
coats was really good.
The flowers are from the stamping plate "KADS
Flower 039" and I stamped with "Fuchsia", a gorgeous stamping
polish from El Corazon. The middle of the flowers are made with
"Yellow", another stamping polish from El Corazón.
Here's the final result, including a layer of topcoat.

The duochromatic effect on my nails are a bit more
prominent in real life but I couldn't quite catch the full effect on camera.

Here's Claire's #69925 Purple Holo alone; three coats.

And here are the things I used today.
Next time I'll try and use "Purple Holo" as
a topper. I am pretty sure it'll look gorgeous over a variety of colours.

ReplyDeleteYeah do you notice how some companies get holos and duos confused? I do searches for one and the other comes up! We need to educate them huh? ;-)
They definitely need to learn the difference! :D
