Orly: Smoldering Soul

Orly: Smoldering Soul
Maroon to gold duochrome with pink shimmer

Orly recently came out with an online exclusive series of beautiful polishes: The Aura Collection. It's a collection of six polishes and I was so lucky to get my hands on five of them. I'm going to show you all five over the next days and I will post links to the other polishes in the collection as I post them.

Second one up is "Smoldering Soul", another duochromatic polish with the prettiest pink shimmer.

The formula is really good and the polish glides on easily. I used two coats for my nails today. The drying time is good today.

I almost never know what colours to use when the base colour has a brown tone to it. Today i decided to go for neon yellow to brighten up everything.
The stamp is from the Moyou London's stamping plate "Crystal Collection-04". The neon yellow stamping polish is from Colour Alike and is called "Yellow Glow".

I topped it all with a layer of Orly's holo glitter topper "Shine On Crazy Diamond".

This is the end result in the sun.

I like this stamping design a lot.

This is "Smoldering Soul" alone. The shimmer in this polish is quite amazing.

I've taken this photo in the light box to show the colour shift and the pretty pink shimmer.

Here are the polishes and the stamping plate I used today.

This polish is really pretty. The colour leans brown though, which isn't my favourite colour.

Number of coats: 2
Drying time: Good
Finish: Shimmery chrome
Overall impression: Great formula and effect, the pink shimmer is beautiful
Buy again: No, but solely because of the brown tone
