Ooh La Lacquer ~ Regal Knievel

Ooh La Lacquer ~ Regal Knievel
Purple strong linear holo

I have been impressed with all of the few Ooh La Lacquers I’ve seen swatches of so far. Regal Knievel is a fantastic purple, and I’ve been looking forward to trying it on!

Application was easy, no problems with dragging or bald spots whatsoever. And no special aqua basecoat is required; any base coat will work with this baby. It takes two coats to achieve full opacity, and the drying time between the coats is average.

I had sunshine, yay! So I can really show you all the gorgeous rainbows!

Here’s two coats and no topcoat in the sun:

I feel tempted to say “Ooh la la!” :D

The colour is also cool in lower light. It doesn’t turn dusty, and the rainbows still shine!

My sweet boyfriend suggested a beehive stamp for it, so that’s what I went for. I found it on Moyou London’s Pro Collection-02. I used that dark blue shimmer from Bourjois called “Bleu Moonlight” as my stamping polish. That just worked! Here’s a sunshine picture before I applied topcoat:

And another one! I love the dark blue over this. Black would have been too much darkness, but this works.

Here’s a pic taken in my lightbox.

I am so pleased, both with the pretty polish and with the mani as a whole. I really like holos that also work in the shade, and all nail stamps that are open like this one are just me. So yes, this mani works on all levels.
