Colors by Llarowe: Loving Every Moment, faded

Colors by Llarowe: Loving Every Moment, faded
Red toned purple linear holo

Yesterday I wore a faded polish and a dear friend of mine mentioned that her Colors by Llarowe "Loving Every Moment" had faded quite a lot. We compared our bottles with the photos I posted of it on my blog in 2015, and we were surprised to find that both our bottles of polish had faded, but hers had faded way more than mine had. Both bottles have been stored in a Helmer out of sunlight. Both bottles are equally old, but she has been using her polish more times than I have worn mine. I have only ever been wearing this polish once, whereas she has worn her a number of times. That's the only difference and I don't know if that explains the difference in how much they faded.

Anyway, the formula is still good and I still used two coats for my nails. The drying time is really good too.

I made a gradient stamp by the base of each nail. The stamp is from the stamping plate "Mezerdoo35". I used a purple and a white stamping polish for the gradient.

Here's the final result, including topcoat.

Here's "Loving Every Moment" alone; two coats and no topcoat.

And here's the photo I took of it five years ago. The polish isn't as red toned as it was and I couldn't get the rainbows to show themselves as much anymore either - even though I had the sun shining directly on them. Here's the link to my original blog post: http://rainbowifyme.blogspot.com/2015/12/colors-by-llarowe-loving-every-moment.html

Here is the stuff I used today.

I still like "Loving Every Moment" even though it has faded but I definitely liked it better before. Both because of the "deeper" shade of red toned purple but also because the rainbows were much more playful before.

Number of coats: 2

  3. Well, there is a big difference between its original powerful colour and holo effect and how it became; but I agree with Gosia and Ananka, it's still pretty! :-) Nice gradient stamping :-)

    1. I still love the colour in its faded shade, but I really wish that the holo effect seems to fade as well. That's a big disappointment.
      And thank you :)
