Essence Sparkling Sands ~ Keep Calm and go to the Beach & I ♥ Summer Break

Essence Sparkling Sands ~ Keep Calm and go to the Beach & I Summer Break
RAOK-polishes!

I was RAOK’ed a while ago – Maria sent me four polishes; I’ve already shown you two of them, and today I’m going to show you the other two. They’re both Essence polishes and they’re both from the Beach Cruisers collection.

First one up is Keep calm and go to the beach! which also has number 03. It’s a green turquoise and it’s textured. It’s easy to work with and it’s almost opaque in one coat. The second coat adds to the texture though, so I recommend two coats for this one. Drying time is a bit faster than average.

Here’s what it looks like; two coats, no topcoat:

It’s a lovely colour, I like it a lot. The texture is nice too, not too gritty.

I sponged my tips with El Corazón #29 from the Prisma collection. It’s a moss green scattered holo. When that was dry I sponged some glitter on the tips too, just because I was in a glittery mood. I chose a multisized, multishaped, multicoloured glitter from A Rhyming Dictionary called Nome King. I sealed the entire thing up with topcoat, and here’s my final mani:

Here are the pretties lined up:

I’m not quite sure that the El Corazón had the exact right shade for the Essence, but never mind – the glitter seemed to make up for that.
Here are the three polishes together:

The second polish I got from that collection was I Summer Break, with the number 01. It’s red with a touch of coral and it’s filled with little sparks. It’s got the same great formula as its sister. It’s got more sparkles in it and I love that.

Here’s two easy coats and no topcoat:

On this picture you can see the pink shimmers:

I actually added extra shimmers. I applied a layer of Flormar #003 from the Plus Quartz collection. It’s a lovely blue/green/orange/iridescent microglitter. It applies easily and dries relatively fast. I didn’t take a picture of this step. Then I added three dots to each nail tip. I used the turquoise from before because I thought it would look cool.

Behold, here’s my final mani:

I Summer Break looks even better with a topcoat or a topper over it, because it makes the shimmer sparkle even more. And a girl can never have too much sparkle in her life!

Thanks again to sweet Maria for sending these lovelies my way!

    1. I love textures but I often end up topcoating them. Not to smooth out the texture but to enhance the sparkle :) Thanks again! :)
