Douglas ~ Lara
11
Blackened blue
with shimmer
I bought today’s polish a lot of years ago, when I
still wore really dark colours. It has been sitting in the infamous box ever
since, along with a similar sister, which I’m going to show you tomorrow.
Lara 11 has a really good formula and is really easy
to work with. You could easily get away with one single coat and the drying
time is really good. I used two coats because I prefer it like that, but it
didn’t make any difference to the appearance on the nails.
I wore it as a dry brush manicure. I used Color Club’s
“Angel Kiss” and #250 from Trend It Up.
I all ended up looking really pretty. Here it is,
including topcoat. The photo is taken in daylight.
This is the same thing taken with flash to show of the
pretty holo in “Angel Kiss”.
And here’s Lara 11 alone. It’s two coats and a thin
layer of topcoat. The photo is taken in daylight.
Here are the polishes I used today.

Lara 11 is too dark for me to wear on its own, but I
can easily see myself wear it as a base for nail art like I did today.
Number of
coats: I used 2, but you it is a one coater
Drying time: Good

Buy again: Probably
not, it’s too dark for me, but that’s not the polish’s fault
Very nice, I really love dry brush stroke manicures!
