Colores de Carol ~ The Cuckoo Clock of Doom

Murky yellow/gold linear holo

The Cuckoo Clock of Doom is a part of the Goosebumps Halloween collection 2017. It’s a collection of five polishes of which I ordered four but ended up with all five of them because I was sent a wrong polish – and got to keep it when they shipped the correct polish. Hooray for good customer service!

Anyway, I’ve already shown you one of the five, and over the next days I’m going to show you the rest of them – starting with The Cuckoo Clock of Doom. The swatches I’ve seen show this polish as a way brighter yellow than the polish I actually received, which is a pain, since I only ordered it because I thought it was bright yellow. Anyway! The formula is good and I used two easy and fast drying coats for full opacity.

I added metal rings on my nails to match the colour of the polish.

Here’s my final manicure taken with flash; including a layer of topcoat.

This is what the polish looks like in ordinary daylight, no sun or flash. I’ll almost call it a mustard colour.

This is “The Cuckoo Clock of Doom” on its own – two coats and no topcoat yet.

I don’t feel that this is my colour at all. The polish also stained my cuticles a lot, so you might want to double up on basecoat if you plan to wear this for more than a day.
