Seche Vite question

Hi girls,

I always wear top coat over my manicures. It makes them shinier, gives the manis more depth and makes them last longer. My favourite top coat is Poshé, and that’s also the one I use the most. The second one in line is Seche Vite. I usually use that after stamping on my nails, after having put on a crackle polish, and when I generally feel like it.

There is one thing about Seche Vite that annoys me a lot. And I do mean a lot!

It seems forever impossible to get to use all of the product!

Look at this picture. The brush doesn’t even touch the bottom of the bottle when it’s shut!

This picture shows how little of the top coat the brush reaches when the bottle is just unscrewed.

I mean – that’s ridiculous. One of the great things about Seche Vite’s top coat is that it’s so thick that it’s possible to get a big dollop of product on the brush and then spread it over the nail. But with a little less than half left in the bottle, I find it almost impossible to get a dollop of product on the brush, even when I tilt it. I keep dipping and dipping and dipping the brush, with a result that isn’t as pretty as it could have been. And that is annoying!

Is it just me, or how do you girls get to use the entire bottle of Seche Vite?

  1. I had the same problem although I also experienced it with China Glaze Fast Forward. However, I recently saw a post about a Lady Bug Nail Polish Holder from Amazon.com which holds a bottle of polish and tilts it so that your brush reaches to the bottom. Might be worth investigating

    1. I actually saw that holder. I have, however, a different kind of bottle holder on the way to me. I'll put it up here when it arrives. :)

  2. I have given up on Seche Vite because I hate the shrinkage! I have recently started using NYC Fast Drying Top Coat. It is so cheap, really shiny, fast drying and NO SHRINKAGE! I can't see spending more money when NYC is great and cheap! :)

    1. Sounds like a great bit of advice. Is it possible to buy NYC fast drying top coat online?
      Thanks for the tip. :)

  3. I buy another bottle when it gets down like that, then when there is room in the other bottle, I pour it in. Probably not the best solution, but it works for me! lol.

  4. I haven't tried either but I've been wanting to get Seche Vite, sucks that it's hard to get out of the bottle! :(

    1. Had it only been a little bit that was hard to get out, but it's one third of the bottle! Yikes!

  5. I do what Sarah does. At half a bottle, I start a new one then when that's half gone, I combine the two. I make sure I add Seche restore to keep it nice and flowing.p when it starts getting thick. It works for me!

    1. I can hear I need to get myself some Seche restore, because the polish getting thick problem was the next thing I was going to ask about. :D Thanks!

    2. Yes, Seche Restore is a must...Usually when mine gets down that low, it is so thick that it is stringy!! lol.

    4. Jeg har også restore :) Det kan anbefales! Det hjælper, altså lidt... Det bliver aldrig helt som en "frisk" flaske ;)

    5. Hvis man kan slippe for at smide 1/3 flaske ud, så er jeg glad. :´)
