Lacquester ~ Red Move Your Head

Lacquester ~ Red Move Your Head

Deep pink linear holo

Red Move Your Head is described as red/magenta with strong holo finish. I disagree with that description. To me it’s pink and the holo effect is good but not “in your face” enough to be called strong. It’s a pretty polish nonetheless, let me show you.

The formula is good and I used two easy coats for desired opacity. The drying time is good.

Here’s two coats and no topcoat in the sun:

I stamped on it. I used a stamping plate from Chez Delaney that I just bought. It’s called Rectangles A001 and I had big problems with it. I couldn’t get any of my stampers to pick the motifs up properly. I also tried with various polishes, but no. I ended up using it anyway. The polish I used is El Corazón’s stamping polish Restless Night, a beautiful purple metallic. The motif is supposed to be butterfly-ish. This is the final mani in the sun:

This picture is taken with flash.

And this picture is taken in low lights. I still like the colour of the polish.

I must admit that I have given the stamping plates a bit of thought. I am puzzled why this particular plate refuses to work when its sister works fine. I think I’ll test my remaining Chez Delaney-plates to see if they work similarly bad. If they do, I’m going to send the shop owner an email because these plates aren’t cheap ebay-copies so I actually expect them to work without a fuss. I think it’s because they’re not etched deeply enough, but I can’t be sure of course. Alternatively I want to know which stamper I need to use to make it work.
