Smitten Polish ~ Cecil the Lion

Smitten Polish ~ Cecil the Lion
Gold microglitter

Cecil the Lion is a Facebook group custom made in honour of Cecil the Lion, who was a Southwest African lion living in the Hwange National Park in Zimbabwe. He was shot by a hunter and that incident caught international media attention. You can read the story here on Wiki.

Gold isn’t my colour at all, but I couldn’t resist this beauty. Smitten makes really good microglitter polishes.

The formula is great and I used two easy and fast drying coats for my mani.

Here’s two coats and a layer of topcoat taken with flash:

Look at how it glitters and glistens.

This picture is taken in ordinary daylight. This polish shines in all sorts of lightings.

I stamped on it. I could only find one lion motif, and that was on Moyra stamping plate-04 Animalistic. Unfortunately the motif is way too big for my relatively small nails, so it’s impossible to see what the motif really is, haha!! I stamped a couple of trees on my middle finger. That motif comes from Infinity Nails-162.

Here’s my final mani with flash:

I think it looks nice even though you can’t really see it’s a lion right there on my ring finger :D

Number of coats: 2
Drying time: Really good
Finish: Golden and holo microglitter
Overall impression: Great quality, really nice microglitter polish!
Buy again: Yes
