piCture pOlish ~ Amethyst

piCture pOlish  ~ Amethyst
Purple base with blue shimmer and silver flakes

It’s been more than ages since I last wore a Picture Polish. It’s not because I’ve lost interest, but seriously: Lots of pretties have come my way lately, know what I’m saying?

Anyway; Amethyst is what you’d call a purple denim. I found the formula a bit tricky; mostly because the polish dries relatively fast. So I thought “this polish isn’t for beginners”, when I applied it. No offence to the beginners though, we’ve all been there. It’s just that there are easier polishes to work with than this one.

Aaaaanyway, I don’t care for tricky. But. Two coats is what it took. Drying time was good. And most of all: The polish is gorgeous! I applied a layer of Poshé topcoat before taking my pics, and here’s what the purple prettiness looks like:

Can you see all the little silver flakes peeping through? And the blue shimmer? It’s just amazing!

No wonder that this polish became so popular!!!

I stamped on it. I used a design from my XL stamping plate “H”, and I stamped with Essie’s “Nothing Else Metals” from their Metallics Mirror collection. I really like stamping with that particular polish on purple, because it gives a softer look than silver would have done. A second layer of Poshé finished the whole thing off:

I totally love this! Totally. Love. This! Have I made myself clear? :)

It became even prettier than I imagined!

Here’s one last shot – I had to stop myself taking too many pictures, haha!!

You might have guessed it by now: I absolutely love this polish. I mean, I really like denim blue polishes, and this is described as a denim purple. Man… what a great idea! And so well made! It’s no wonder that this particular Picture Polish got so popular. I’m so glad that this bottle lives in my stash! <3

  3. I have it/had it - and all tho it's purple I feel it's not my kind of purple at all, even if my taste within purple is wide - it's weird, I never were able to figure out what the problem was...
