Too Fancy Lacquer ~ Come to the Dark Side

Too Fancy Lacquer ~ Come to the Dark Side
Black strong linear holo

I remember when Too Fancy Lacquer was still an unknown brand – and I also saw how it exploded when the bloggers and the Facebook users discovered how cool the brand was.

Today I’m going to show you the black one out of three: Come to the Dark Side. The formula is no less than great; I didn’t experience any problems with application. This devil (I hesitate to call it “this baby” because of the name, hahaha!) doesn’t require a special aqua basecoat. Drying time is good, and the polish is extremely opaque. One coat, and it was in fact opaque. I applied a second coat out of habit and to see if it made a difference, but it didn’t. So yes, it’s a one coater!

Let me show you what it looks like. Two coats, no topcoat, picture taken with flash:

I’m not usually a fan of completely black polishes, but the holo flame makes this polish lovely!

I mean, look at that!

One last shot with flash:

And here’s what it looks like without flash:

I decided to add glittah!! I used a red & silver glitter in a clear base from Revlon called Slipper. I sponged the glitter onto the base of my nails. I finished with a layer of H K Girl topcoat, and here’s the final mani:

I love red, black and silver together, so yes, this is a winner to me!

Verdict:
This polish definitely lived up to my high expectations! The quality is good and so is the coverage and the drying time. And the holo effect is really cool. The only thing that misses is a second part to the name saying “we’ve got cookies”, but oh well :D Yes, this one gets polished thumbs up from me!

Number of coats: 2 (1 would have been enough!)
Drying time: Fast
Removal: No problemo
Overall impression: Amazingly strong black holo
Buy again: Yes
